How to Repair .dbx files

Recovering lost or deleted emails from Outlook Express involves two main operation
Repairing corrupted .dbx file(s) using DD DBX Repair is very easy. The new version provides very easy to use interface that helps users with least technical knowledge to recover lost or deleted emails from corrupted .dbx file(s) easily.
Figure a : Application main window 2. Click the button to select a .dbx file that has lost / deleted emails. The program scans the drive for .dbx files and lists all the identities present in the drive. Select an identity which has .dbx file that has lost / deleted emails to be recovered. The application application displays all the .dbx files from the selected identity as shown in Figure b.
Figure b : Select source file to repair Note: You can also browse for a .dbx file by clicking Browse button, if the .dbx file you wish to repair is not listed in the list of .dbx files. This can be done only if you know where exactly the .dbx file is located. 3. Select a .dbx file that has lost or deleted emails and click Next button. As you click Next button, the application displays a window to select destination path to save your recovered emails (See Figure c).
Figure c : Select destination path DD DBX Repair provides two options to save recovered data. Select the destination path, check "Compress repaired file(s)" option if you want to save recovered data in compressed form and click OK. As you click OK button, the application starts repairing the selected .dbx file to locate lost / deleted emails and recovers all found emails in a new folder by name "xxxx recoveredx" in selected destination location. All the found emails will be recovered in a .eml format. Note: If you have selected multiple .dbx files to repair, then all the recovered emails will be restored in their respective folders in a new folder by name "Recovered dbxX" in selected destination location.
